This allows the steak to cook more evenly and a little bit faster, which is very helpful on done and well-done steaks. Update International has a perfect steak companion in its 4 1/4” x 8 1/4” cast iron steak weight (SWI-84). It may also be used on many grill-cooked items such as bacon, sausages, burgers and even hash browns. It has a wooden handle to prevent heat absorption while providing a comfortable grip.
